The first ABORTION STORIES: An Interactive Arts festival took place in Tompkins Square Park and Cindy Rucker Gallery on the Lower East Side of New York on May 6-8 2022. Since then, we have organized storytelling actions in collaboration with Planned Parenthood, StoryCorps, Lump Projects, and The Brooklyn Museum.
Our events are for all people who care about reproductive justice, regardless of whether they have been pregnant. Conceptual, multicultural, and historical presentations about abortion are encouraged. And we are especially welcoming of people with identities that are disproportionately affected in the abortion struggle: LGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, and people of color, as well as religious people who support others' right to choose even if they would not make this choice.
